When working from home, you want to create a productive office space that you actually want to work in! Some people are lucky enough to have their own office space, and some are working on the kitchen table with what they have.

No matter what office space you are working with, this post will help you maximize the space you have to create the ultimate setup of a productive office space!

1. PRODUCTIVE OFFICE SPACE ITEMS

Before anything, you want to make sure you have the items you need to make your productive office space.

Here’s what I recommend you need for the ideal setup;

2. HOW TO SET UP YOUR HOME OFFICE

Once you have all of the items for your home office, it’s time to actually set it up!

If you have the luxury to have an entire room for your office, you obviously want to pick that room.

But what if you don’t have the extra room in your house?

-FIND A QUIET SPACE IN YOUR HOME

Start by looking for the quietest part of your home. Maybe you could set a desk up in your bedroom, or squeeze a desk into the corner of your living or dining room.

-OFFICE SETUP FOR SMALL SPACES

Don’t even have the room to set up a desk somewhere? No worries! You might have to get creative and use your dining room table as your office space for now. Which can work just fine!

If you organize your work papers enough you can use space-saving storage to hide away all of your work-related things once you clock out for the day. Like this one!

3. HOW TO DECORATE YOUR OFFICE TO MAXIMIZE SPACE

When working from home in a small space you have to maximize the office space you have for productivity.

Here are a few more simple ways to do that;

-ADD CURTAINS TO THE WINDOWS

Making sure you have enough light in your space can make the room feel bigger! If a room is dark and dingy it can make you less productive and make the space feel a lot smaller than it actually is!

-KEEP CLUTTER AWAY

Clutter does not help keep you productive throughout the day. Plus, if you’re working in a small office space, clutter can make the room feel smaller!

-USE FILLING CABINETS TO MAXIMIZE STORAGE

As I mentioned before, using smart storage is the best way to get the most bank for your buck in a small room.

Here are a few of the ones I liked;

-ADD DECOR OR WALL ART

Adding a mirror to a room or some decor on the walls can make a room feel more open an inviting, even if it’s a small space!
