Christmas is upon us and we get to spend the days baking Christmas cookies, and putting up decor! But what happens when we have to take it all down? You need an easy way for organizing your Christmas decorations once it’s time to put it all away!
I only have a small amount of space to organize my Christmas decorations, so I need to make the most of the space! Which is why I love all of the space-saving solutions mentioned here!

Table of Contents
1. STORE YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE
If you get a fake tree like me, you know how much space these things can take up once you take them down! You can either do like my mother-in-law does and keep it up year-round undecorated in the family room, or you can use one of these Christmas tree bags!
I have the red one for my tree and it is so nice to be able to store the tree away in each year! I keep the tree and the few accessories it comes with like the stand in the bag and tucks it away in the back of my closet!
2. STORE YOUR CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
Christmas lights. The bane of everyone’s existence. How do they get so tangled up each year?!
No longer do you need to ball up your lights at the end of the year and end up buying new ones the next when they’re too frustrating to untangle! Here are three different options to organizing your Christmas decorations in a neat and orderly fashion!
I currently am using the first option and just wrapping them around the holders but I really like the bag idea as well so I may switch to that once my tree comes down this year!
3. STORE YOUR CHRISTMAS WREATH
I never thought to store my wreath away in a bag until just this year. I normally just throw it in the back of the closet and hope not too much glitter or too many pine needles fall off throughout the year. (Bad idea!)
These cute green and red options are perfect for keeping your Christmas wreaths safe, and your closet clean! I really like the storage bag that has the option to store two wreaths in case you have multiple around your house!
4. STORE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS
One of the best parts of decorating! Christmas ornaments! I have one of these Christmas ornament storage solutions and it is the most useful thing ever. These are perfect for not only organizing your Christmas decorations, but you can keep them safe as well!
You don’t want to have any of the important and breakable ornaments to get damaged throughout the year, and these storage solutions are the perfect thing to make sure they’re safe!
5. STORE CHRISTMAS WRAPPING PAPER
Christmas wrapping paper is another one of those things you throw in the back of your closest or put in “that one special spot” that’s out of the way. Until you go to look for them next year and they’re either damaged because you threw so many things on them, or you can’t find them at all!
Here are a few options you could use, but if you’d like to check out even more ways to organize your Christmas decor check out this post here!
6. ORGANIZE YOUR CHIRSTMAS DECOR- RANDOM DECOR
I have a huge Christmas village that I love to set up each year! Adorable houses and people all go under my tree! Honestly, I need a bigger tree just to fit it all. But I need a place to store all of that, along with other random Christmas decor items and these bins are perfect for Christmas village storage ideas!
7. CABLE MANAGEMENT
Something you may not think about when it comes to Christmas decorating is all of the cables required to plug in lights, village houses, and trees! So that’s why I’ve included a cable management box to hide all of your ugly cords, cable management straps to keep cords together when not in use, and extra plug adaptors as well!
Decorating for the holidays is so much fun! Having to organize your Christmas decor once it comes down is… not. So I hope you’ve found something in this list that can help make that process just a bit easier on you!
